OU Campus™ Configuration Options 

On-Demand Solution:
Deployed as a On-Demand Application Solution, OmniUpdate does not host your web site, but simply provides the OU Campus web content management system hosted remotely on our secure server farm. OmniUpdate maintains a series of interconnected secure servers that provide a 24/7 permission-based control and coordination center for its customer's web site editing and administration functions. User authentication can be done within the OmniUpdate system (secured via SSL), or remotely through your institution's LDAP authentication service (encryption options include SSL and TLS).  Since OU Campus publishes only the final pages to your current web host (via standard FTP or secure SFTP), there is no impact on your site, no software to install on your web servers, or changes to your web pages. As a result, there is never a concern that OmniUpdate will impact your web site and no way it can degrade your web site's availability. Best of all you don't need to maintain or outsource a specialized staff to maintain and update the system.  The On-Demand Configuration is the most affordable way to offer OU Campus to your entire institution.

On-Site Solution:
Deployed as an On-Site Solution, OmniUpdate provides your institution the same advantages listed above while running on a server within your network environment.  As an On-Site Solution, OU Campus can be delivered as a complete plug-and-play appliance requiring no modifications to your network or web servers.
