• Search and Relevance
  Improved one- and multi-word queries, with enhanced search options that include keyword, phrase, wildcard, field, range, implied Boolean, and advanced operators. Relevance has been optimized through enhanced linguistics techniques, stemming, link analysis, and weighting based on term location, frequency, and rarity.
  
• Spelling Suggestions and Title Replacement
  Alternative spellings are automatically suggested for misspelled queries, using a dictionary dynamically built from the index. Likewise, incorrect or missing document titles are intelligently replaced with meaningful, automatically generated titles to help users find the documents faster.
  
• Security and Authentication
  A hit-level filtering of search results is supported for both basic and NT Challenge/Response authentication; thereby ensuring that only those documents that an end-user is authorized to view will appear.
  
• Spidering and Intelligent Indexing
  Patterns in HTML pages are recognized so that the spider indexes only the relevant content (adaptive spidering), and skips over navigation, menus, advertisements and common template-generated text. Search agents and page change notification is done using a proprietary scanner robot that tirelessly checks the assigned websites, then sends an email notification when the requested information becomes available. Since OmniUpdate Search is a hosted service, there is never a need to upgrade any software.
