OmniUpdate maintains a series of interconnected secure servers that provide a 24/7 permission-based control and coordination center for its customer's web site editing and administration functions. User authentication can be done within the OmniUpdate system (secured via SSL), or remotely through your institution's LDAP authentication service (encryption options include SSL and StartTLS). With OU Student there is no impact on your site, no software to install on your web servers, or changes to your web pages. As a result, there is never a concern that OmniUpdate will degrade your web site's availability. Best of all you don't need to maintain or outsource a specialized staff to maintain and update the system.  The Hosted Configuration is the most affordable way to offer OU Student to your entire student body.
