OU Student is a browser-based, cross-platform solution that requires no software installation on the client and works with virtually all web servers.  OU Student can be deployed as either a Hosted, or On-Site solution.  Either way, OU Student offers your entire student body the most convenient way of updating their web pages and student portfolio pages from anywhere in the world.

CLIENT SIDE
OU Student requires no proprietary client side software. OU Student runs entirely in the web browser of the user. For maximum capability, OU Student users should use Microsoft Windows (95 and up) with Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 5.5 or higher is recommended). OU Student is also available to Windows Netscape and Firefox users as well as Macintosh users running Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Netscape 6.0 or later.

SERVER SIDE
Standard configurations require no installation of software on the server where the web pages are hosted. The web server can be running Windows 2000/NT/IIS, Linux, Unix, Sun/Solaris, HP/HP-UX, SGI/IRIS and IBM/AIX , BSD, or Macintosh OS. The web server can also be hosted by a third party hosting service provider.
